Iberica Stone: a 3D table configurator with built-in AR

Iberica Stone sells premium stone tables, where the slab is the product. Two customers ordering the same model can end up with pieces that look entirely different depending on the stone, the shape of the top and the dimensions they choose.
That is difficult to sell from a photograph, so the company wanted customers to explore the customisation options themselves — before committing to a piece that is made to order.
The client wanted a digital solution that would let customers explore all the customisation options — stone type, surface shape, dimensions and leg styles — before making a purchase.
The goal was to make choosing a made-to-order stone table interactive rather than a matter of interpreting a specification list.
Enquiries needed to arrive with the specification already resolved, rather than starting a round of clarification.
Iberica Stone chose the Starter plan, which gave them a 3D customisation tool without a complex setup or expensive add-ons. In the configurator, customers can:
The tool also included augmented reality by default, so customers could see the table they had configured in their own room. Once satisfied, they could submit a quote request directly through the platform.
The customer picks the stone design, which sets the character of the whole piece.
Top surface shape, then width, length and thickness adjusted to the space the table is going into.
Leg style and colour selected against the chosen top.
AR places the configured table at true scale in the customer’s own space, which is the fastest way to check that a large stone piece fits.
The finished configuration is submitted as a quote request through the platform, so the enquiry arrives fully specified.

Users could explore every detail of their table, making the buying experience interactive and enjoyable.
AR visualisation helped customers see exactly how the table would look in their space.
The quote request feature streamlined enquiries, reducing manual follow-ups and speeding up the purchasing process.
The Starter plan offered the essential tools for a highly personalised experience without expensive add-ons.
The description above reflects what was actually implemented at the time. A team starting the same project now would also have these options available:
Neither was part of the original implementation.
Made-to-size tables price naturally from their dimensions, which is what a pricing formula is for.
